Woman Behind The Business
Genevieve Mills
Director, Oakland Green Interiors; COO & In-house Counsel for Oakland Nurseries, Inc.
Oakland Green Interiors is managed by Genevieve Reiner Mills, a third-generation family operator who is committed to bringing innovative plant design to our built environments. She is a passionate spokesperson for the benefits plants have in our lives, as well as an enthusiast of forward-thinking urban design and planning. Mills is Chief Operating Office and In-house Counsel for Oakland Nursery, LLC., and Director of Oakland Green Interiors. She spent several years as a negotiator and trial attorney for the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office and uses those skills in her position overseeing various departments at Oakland Nursery.
Genevieve holds her Bachelor of Arts in European History from Boston College, her Master’s in Arts degree in South Asian Art History from The Ohio State University, and her Juris Doctorate from The Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University.
She is a Certified Trainer for “Green Plants for Green Buildings”, currently serves as the immediate past president of the Ohio Green Industry Association, and is a Community Coordinator for the Interior Plantscapes Connector Group of AmericanHort.
