These tough, air purifying plants thrive on neglect and are a must-have for any low maintenance indoor garden. There are many cultivars to choose from in lots of colors and shapes.

Sansevieria Hahnii are dwarf snake plants, with shorter, stockier leaves that bloom out like flower petals from a central point. They are sometimes known as "Birdnest" snakes. Hahnii Silver has silvery-green foliage with lighter outlined edges.

Snake plants grow from underground rhizomes that hold water, so they can go weeks without needed to be watered.  They are native to tropical and sub tropical regions of Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Watering: When the soil is completely dry, then wait even a little longer. Every 3-4 weeks, and make sure they do not sit in water...they hate wet feet. :)

Lighting: Snakes can tolerate low light conditions, but will grow (and potentially bloom) in medium or bright light.

Toxic to pets: Yes. Can cause stomach upset and vomiting.
